Tom Clench - Manager

Tom was asked back in April by Josh Waddell if he would consider running the Albion Reserve team and after consideration decided to take up the challenge. After being impressed at the first training session Clench started to form his team. After indifferent results Clench and Burke look to turn things aroung and with the team become more of a unit Clench is looking more positive upn the future of the team. Although his appearneces on the pitch have been hampered by injury and good form of players he may look to use himself more in the future. He is 100% behind the club and is optimistic about the future of both teams.

Michael Barry - Defensive Midfield Centre

Barry came in to the squad in November time following a summer spent in Falaraki. The Christmas break and a skiing holiday meant he had to wait for his debut but he stamped his authority on the team with a man of the match performance in the 5-0 win over Delarvan. In his appearence since then he has proven to be what Danson were missing so far this season in his role sitting just infront of the back four and breaking up attacks. He also showed versitilty in playing centre midfield, left back and even in goal in the 10-1 thrashing of House of Fun. He be remembered for his drunken antics on the team Christmas night out at Twin Palace.

Mike Duke – Midfielder (Left Right Centre)

‘Daddy’ Duke came in to the squad as a goalkeeper but after indifferent pre season performances and the arrival of Jack Stephen Mike switched to an outfield position and were he always gave 100% and put in an excellent performance in a 2-0 win over Crofton Park. Whenever he has had a chance in the team he has never let his team mates down although work commitments limit his chances. He also hgave a fine performance in the centre of midfield in the cup win against White Oak Wanderers. He loves a trip to RSVP on a Sunday night and became a proud father in October.

Jon Silley – Defender (Left/Right/Centre)

Jon came along to the teams first ever training session with Andy Semaine and Matt Hewitt. Although work commitments have stopped him getting a regular run in the team he has never let the team down when called upon. He is dependable and always gives 100% for the team. Another man who will always be found in the Nags Head Sunday afternoons with a beer in one hand and some Cheesy Garlic bread in the other.

Joel Graham – Midfielder (Centre)

Joel came into the squad after pre-season along with goalkeeper Jack and caught attention quickly due to his colourful shorts. Joel made his debut in the opening day defeat to Inter Mottingham but only lasted 5 minutes before being taken off with a thigh strain. Unable to shake off this injury he struggled to establish himself as a regular early in the season but filled in at left back. However when given a chance in his preferred central midfield role he made this place his own and has won 2 man of the match awards. He scored his first goal for the team in the 3-2 defeat to MISA.

Chris Porter - Midfield/Forward (Right/Centre)

Chris scored Danson’s first ever goal in the pre season friendly against Dartford. Chris has since become a important part of the Albion side whether playing on the right wing or upfront he is always put in a committed and high level performance. He is a player who will always speak up on his thoughts regarding the team and has also helped added to the squad by bring back Jack Stephen and also adding Joel Graham to the team. He showed versitility with a great performance at right back against MISA and will always do what he can to help the team win and added to his goal tally with a screamer against Delaravan

Lee Colquhoun - Midfield/Defender (Left/Centre)

Lee was brought into the squad through his work connections with the manager showed the reasons for this in the pre season games which included a great free kick in the the game against DAFC's 1st team. Some indifferent performances have left him struggling to hold down a regular first team place but has show support for the team on the touchline and is one of Albions most technically gifted players. He was also there for the DAFC pub crawl and the Xmas meal.

brooks

Mike Brooks - Striker

Brooksy was brought into the squad by Lee and impressed early in training with his good ball control and excellent finishing. This was backed up in his debut when he scored two and was awarded man of the match in a great performance. He has since continually been Dansons most constant goal threat and is currently top goal scorer for the team. Although he can some times miss chances he seems to always pop up with important goals when Albion need them. He also scored on his only appearence for the first team with a 30 yard rocket to make the score 2-2

steve

Steve Burke - Striker/ Defender Centre/ Coach

Steve was brought in to the team early on by manager Clench as a coach and his right hand man. This has proved to be a good choice as Steve has helped with the team coaching including the gruelling pre season fitness work. He has also impressed on the pitch both as a centre back and up front where he has formed a good partnership with Brooks. He has also helped work on the Albion set piece routines and will always help giving his opinion on what needs to be put right. He ended a goal drought in the game with HOF and has since been finding the net regularly.

french

Dave French – Midfield/ Forward (Right Centre)

Dave was brought into the squad early in the summer by coach Steve and impressed early on with his energetic style of play. He will never give up on anything and is a dedicated player to the squad. His versatility had also been used with him covering various areas but found good form in the centre of midfield. He will always give ‘110%’ into his performances on the pitch and also loves attending the team social nights and having a few beers. He added his second Albion goal in the 10-1 win over House of Fun.

jack

Jack Smidmore - Midfielder (Right/Left)/ Striker

Jack came in to the Albion set up a few weeks into the season after being persuaded to join by 'keeper Jack Stephen and despite having to wait for his Albion debut he kept patient and took the chance when given it with a man of the match winning performance against White Oak Wanderers in the Junior Cup. Jack scored his first goal in the 5-0 win over Delaravan and added two more in the 10-1 win over House of Fun.

Steven Lillitos - Striker

'Lilly' came into the team after going to school with Clench and Waddell and was ever present in the early training session and scored in Albions first ever game. He started the season struggling to hold down a place in the starting 11 but always gave his all when given a chance. Was the first Danson player ever to leave a match in an Ambulance following a dislocated shoulder in the game with Crofton Park and his humour often has his team mates in laughter. His season has been unfortunatly disrupted by an operation but his team mates will hope to have him back with them in the near future. He also showed his dancing skills in the early season pub crawl.

lilly

Matt Hewitt – Defender (Central)

The Albion Skipper was awarded the captains armband before the first friendly after impressing in training sessions. He always wears his heart on his sleeve and no one can questions his commitment to the team although he can occasionally lose his head and need to be calmed down. He scored 4 goals in pre season in including 3 penalties and added to that with a free kick in the league. Another Albion player who enjoys a portion of cheesy garlic bread in the Nags Sunday afternoons.

Michael Radley – Defender (Right)

Radders joined the reserves due to friendships with many first team players and manager Clench and after expressing interest as a central midfield player he had established as a first choice and first class right back. His never say die attitude could be seen from the first game and he will always give his all whatever the score line. This helped him win Man of the Match in the team’s victory against Crofton Park and has had many excellent match ratings since. He is a popular figure who will always attend post match drinking sessions in the Nags Head.

Dave Liu - Midfield (Right/Left)

Dave was called in by Josh to play in the first pre season game and instantly impressed with his high tempo and good work levels. Dave also scored the wonder goal that sent the cup game with Eltham Town 'c' into extra time and penalties.

Jake Melbourne - Midfield (Centre)

The squads and clubs youngest player came into the squad via relations with Steve Burke and made an impressive debut in the 6-4 friendly win versus Inter Shamrock at the age of just 16. Jack Stephen – Goalkeeper,

Jack won man of the match on his debut added to this with two ‘man of the match’ awards in his first 4 appearances which helped him with DAFC player for the month for September.
